One companion,
for the whole journey.
From the moment a prayer is due to the quiet reflection at night, Awwab is built to walk beside you — gently, privately, and beautifully.
Now on iPhone & Apple Watch; Android coming soon.
Prayer, at the center of everything
Awwab keeps your five daily prayers in view and within reach — accurate, offline, and shaped to how you pray.
- On-device prayer times using the trusted Adhan calculations — choose your madhab and calculation method, and it works with no connection at all.
- One-tap logging & streaks with a seven-day view and a full, editable history you can revisit any time.
- A guided Prayer Ritual on iPhone — Invitation, Takbīr, Duʿāʾ, Acceptance — a calm, optional flow that turns logging into a moment of presence.
- Hijri calendar & occasions — Ramadan, the two Eids, ʿArafah, ʿAshūrāʾ and Jumuʿah are gently surfaced when they arrive.
The Shield & the Mindful Intercept
The hook that started it all: when a prayer is due, the apps that pull you away wait their turn — and if you reach for one, you’re met with mercy, not a scold.
- Pick the apps to pause during prayer windows. On iPhone this uses Apple’s Screen Time / Family Controls; on Android, a private on-device overlay.
- Open a paused app and the Mindful Intercept appears — a verse on a prayer-specific watercolour, with “Take me to prayer” and “I have a real reason.”
- Pray, and everything unlocks. Your app choices are represented by opaque tokens and never leave your device.
Qibla, wherever you are
A live compass driven by your device’s sensors points you to the Kaaba, with a smooth needle and a gentle cue the moment you’re aligned — so you can face the right direction with confidence.
Spirit — remembrance, close at hand
A quiet hub for dhikr and reflection, designed to keep the heart soft through the day.
- Tasbīḥ counter — the classic 33·33·34 cycle and a free mode, with an animated ring, haptics, and lifetime totals.
- Morning & evening adhkār — each with Arabic, transliteration, meaning, and the hadith behind it, in short or full sessions.
- The 99 Names of God — a browsable, searchable gallery with meaning, story, and a reflection for each Name.
- Duʿāʾ for every moment — gathered by need: anxiety, forgiveness, travel, gratitude, and more.
Knowledge & Trivia — learn, and enjoy it
Hundreds of bilingual questions across creed, the Qur’an, the prophets, the companions, the Prophet’s life ﷺ, the 99 Names, Islamic history and heroes, and the real scientific wonders of creation.
- Four formats — multiple choice, true / false, match-the-pairs, and fill-in-the-blank — across easy, medium, and hard.
- Daily challenge, mixed rounds, and weak-spot practice, with streaks and gentle scoring.
- Authenticity is the rule — every hadith is ṣaḥīḥ or ḥasan, every scientific claim is backed by a real peer-reviewed paper, and contested claims are left out rather than softened. Each answer shows its source.
- Guidance cards — two-faced flashcards (e.g. “the best duʿāʾ for provision”) with the authentic verses and hadith on the back.
The Knowledge games are also coming to the web, right here on awwab.app — playable in your browser.
The Journey — a 13-day return
Your first days with Awwab mirror the Prophetic Hijra — from the Cave, across the long crossing, to Madinah. Each day carries a scene, a small act, and a reflection, turning “starting again” into a story you walk rather than a checklist you dread.
Heal — a patient way back
For the habits that weigh on the heart. Heal meets you with compassion and structure, never shame — and it’s locked behind your device’s biometrics, stored privately.
- Programs for habits like smoking, doomscrolling, and more — each with a sober counter, daily verse, and short lessons by phase.
- A one-tap panic button: guided breathing (4-4-4-4), 5-4-3-2-1 grounding, a verse, a hadith, a duʿāʾ, and a check-in.
- An honest letter you can read or listen to, a benefit timeline that unlocks as you heal, and a trusted accountability partner one tap away.
- Gentle morning & evening nudges you control — and a clear pointer to professional help when it’s needed.
Cycle tracking, with care
An optional, female-only tracker that understands the deen. Log your cycle and symptoms, and Awwab quietly excuses prayers and pauses the Shield during your period — with a gentle reminder of the Islamic context. This data is especially protected: it stays in your private storage and is never shared.
Reflection & statistics
Awwab honours quiet progress and inner life, not just checkmarks.
- A daily check-in for mood and closeness to God, with a private journal for what eased you, what was hard, and a duʿāʾ.
- Beautiful statistics — a consistency ring, trends over time, by-prayer breakdowns, punctuality, remembrance counts, and milestones.
Apple Watch & widgets
Your next prayer, the time remaining, and your streak — glanceable on your wrist and on your Home Screen, so remembrance stays close without reaching for the app.
English & Arabic, done with care
Awwab is crafted in English and Arabic, with full Arabic right-to-left layout and faithful, gentle translations throughout. The sacred Name is always honoured: “God” in English, “الله” in Arabic, with a soft, shining treatment.
No servers. No accounts. No tracking.
On iPhone your data syncs through your own private iCloud; on Android it stays entirely on your device. We never receive it. Ads appear only in the Knowledge games on this website — never in the app.
