What Awwab is
Awwab is two things that share one heart. The first is a Muslim prayer companion app for iPhone and Apple Watch (Android is in development): it tracks your five daily prayers, quiets the apps that pull you away until you’ve prayed, points you to the Qibla, counts your dhikr, teaches the 99 Names, and walks with you through a 13-day journey modelled on the Prophetic Hijra. The second is this website — a free place to learn and play: the Knowledge game with 1,400+ verified questions, the Guidance Cards that tell the stories of all 25 prophets scene by scene, and the Knowledge Hub of readable, sourced guides.
Who builds it
Awwab is built independently by one Muslim engineer — no venture funding, no growth team, no data brokers. That isn’t a romantic detail; it’s why the product can keep promises a funded app can’t: the app has no accounts, no ads, and no tracking, because nobody is waiting on your data to make payroll. On iPhone your prayers and progress live in your own private iCloud; on Android they will simply stay on your device. The only ads anywhere are on this website’s game pages, which help cover the servers that keep the game and cards free.
What we believe
- Authenticity above volume. Every hadith we use is ṣaḥīḥ or ḥasan and cited with its collection and number. Every scientific claim carries a real peer-reviewed reference. When a claim is contested, we leave it out rather than soften it. Read how our content is sourced.
- Mercy over shame. Missing prayers doesn’t make you a failure; it makes you human. Everything in Awwab — the Shield, the streaks, the Heal path — is designed as a gentle hand back, never a wagging finger.
- Privacy as worship deserves. Your relationship with God is not a data point. We can’t read your prayers, journals, or habits, because we never receive them. Read the privacy policy — it’s short, because there’s little to disclose.
- Two languages, one care. Everything is crafted in English and Arabic, with full right-to-left layout and translations done with love, not machine haste.
Where we are
Awwab launched on the App Store in 2026 for iPhone and Apple Watch. The Android app is being built now with the same features and the same privacy promise. The website's game, cards, and guides are free for everyone, everywhere, with no sign-up.
